Sort Your Life Out’s Stacey Solomon made a very eco-friendly choice for her TV BAFTA wardrobe choice— she cut up her wedding dress!

Stacey was nominated for not one but two BAFTAs— the Entertainment Performance award and the Best Factual Entertainment award— for her home makeover show, Sort Your Life Out, but it's her conservational fashion choice that got people talking this year.

The mum-of-five documented the process of her stylist chopping up her wedding dress on Instagram (swipe through to see the original dress). She wrote, ‘It makes me so sad that this is my favourite, most special dress I ever bought and I’ve only ever worn it once. So, I asked my stylist Faye (who has been my friend and stylist since the X-Factor) and her incredible seamstress Izzy to rework my dress so I can wear it again!’

She originally wore the dress in her 2022 wedding to EastEnders star Joe Swash. The couple— who first began dating in 2016— now share children Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two, while Stacey is also mum to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships, and Joe is dad to 17-year-old son Harry.

Stacey debuted the finished dress in an Instagram post, captioning it, ‘Off to the BAFTAs… I decided to have my wedding dress re-worked for today because wearing it once feels like a travesty to me. I wanted to get her out of the box and take her out on another special day. Thank you, Faye Sawyer and Issy for transforming my wedding dress into something so special and beautiful. I love you girls. Thank you, Penny for making me feel so beautiful as always.’

Fans are already praising the TV personality’s dress choice, with one Instagram user commenting, ‘You look absolutely amazing 🤩 Your dress is just 🔥’ with another chiming in, ‘Love the dress and definitely worth wearing more than once looks amazing.’ Another Instagram user wrote, ‘Love that you have recycled your wedding dress, that’s so special!’

However, what with the internet being what it is, not everyone approved of her fashion choice. One user wrote, ‘I'm in the minority but I don't like it.’ Hey, you can’t please everyone, even if you’re Stacey Solomon.
