Tuesday night saw Stacey Hart fall at final hurdle as she was eliminated from the Great British Bake Off in the semi finals. Pipped to the post by Kate, Steven and Sophie in a tough patisserie week, Stacey, a former teacher and mum of three, went home to her family in Hertfordshire.
During her nine weeks in the Bake Off tent Stacey managed to keep schtum about her rather famous other-half - until now that is.
Stacey’s husband James was actually one of the co-founders of ASOS, and in fact, the company’s first ever employee. James set up the online clothing giant, one of the first e-commerce platforms of its type, with three colleagues back in 2000, and they went on to sell their stake in the company in 2012 for a cool £50 million. Since then he has continued working in the world of online retail founding a children’s company called Kidly.

Speaking about life after the Bake Off, Stacey said she was as busy as ever looking after her family and getting back to her usual baking.
‘Going back to being a full-time mum to three boys was actually quite nice. I thought at the end of my time in the tent I wouldn't bake for a while, but I did the very next day and I haven't stopped since,’ Stacey said.
