Mel B has hinted that the Spice Girls might perform at the upcoming royal wedding. Speaking on the talk show The Real on Tuesday, Scary Spice let slip that the girls had received invites to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming nuptials.

‘Do you know anybody that you think is gonna go to this wedding,’ co-host Loni Love asked.

‘Yeah I'm going ... I don't know if I should've said that,’ Mel whispered quietly.

When asked if she knew anyone else on the guestlist she responded, ‘Well us five Spice Girls ... why am I so honest?’

Love then asked whether we could expect a performance from the famous five and Mel B threw her cue cards in the air and said, ‘This is where I'm just like ... I need to go. I'm going to be fired!’

Refusing to share any more details, she confirmed she had received the invite. ‘It's too personal to describe it,’ Mel B revealed.

The idea doesn’t seem that ridiculous when you consider Prince Harry’s history with the band.

In 1997, aged 13, Prince Harry met the Spice Girls in Johannesburg on a half term trip to South Africa with his father, Prince Charles. He was reported to have described the experience as the best day of his life and he later went on to host the band at Highgrove House.

Earlier this month the rumour mill went into overdrive when Victoria Beckham shared a photo of the band a reunion meeting in London.

While details of their plans are unclear, it is thought the band will be working on new projects this year including potentially a tour, TV show or greatest hits album.
