Former Made In Chelsea{ =nofollow}star Spencer Matthew has insisted he had a 'greater calling' than being 'a bit of a pr**k' on the show, adding that there's 'an element of prejudice' which comes with attending Eton as people call him 'lucky'. 'There is an element of prejudice to going to a school like that and having wealthy parents, of course,' Spencer said, speaking on podcast Can I Ask You A Personal Question. 'People do assume that it's easier to become successful if you have successful parents…'

Spencer, who has now set up his own alcohol-free company, also spoke about the uncertainty of working as a reality TV star and freelance presenter. 'You realise that this social media, TV life is – unless your aim in life is to be Ant or Dec, or that's what you want – you need to really pinpoint exactly what you want,' he said. 'Because for me, floating around not knowing the endgame, and not knowing where your next paycheque's coming from and how big it's going to be, or who you're going to be working for or on what channel, was a really hard way for me to exist.'

The reality star, who was on MIC from it's first series until series 10, added, 'I've always - in the back of my mind at least, and I hope this doesn't sound arrogant - knew that I had a kind of greater calling I suppose than being a cast member on a popular TV show, and drinking all the time, and being known for being quite funny but a bit of a pr**k, I suppose.'

Spencer, whose parents are thought to be worth $300million, spoke more about setting up Clean Liquor, saying he would face an element of prejudice if it becomes very successful. 'I already know that if Clean Liquor becomes a huge success, and I sell it for some huge number, everyone's going to call me lucky. And I know they will. And that's a part of going to Eton, and that's a part of having a rich family.

'But I know when I'm opening the office before 7 each morning, and I'm one of the last to leave, and I'm making my vision work, and I'm putting in hard hours and learning every single day, and building an incredible team – that every day that I'm doing that I'm decreasing the amount of luck that I need for it to be a huge success.'

'And I'm not saying that there's no element of luck to becoming whoever you want to be,' he added. 'Always happy to have a bit of luck on your side. But I will be able to say that we called it [a reference to his business idea - low alcohol cocktails etc], instead of it just being blind luck. I think it's a shame to call successful people lucky just all the time. There's usually a reason for it. And I'm not saying I'm a huge success quite yet, but I'm very much hoping to be.'

Remember when Jamie and Louise dated (much to Spencer's dismay) in 2012. Louise then left Jamie for Spencer, causing a very traumatic love triangle indeed. Poor Jamie.

2. Binky Felstead and Jamie Laing

Binks may be loving life with baby India, but remember when she dated Jamie Laing?!? Yes, we forgot too. After years of friendship, the two found it difficult to transition to an actual relationship, so decided to call it a day.

3. Lucy Watson and Jamie Laing

Jamie and Lucy were together for a bit and would even walk their dogs together. Not one for holding back, Lucy Watson has called the show 'incestuous' and she 'no longer wants to waste time with people like Jamie and Proudlock'. BURN.

Ah yes, Lucy and Proudlock. They were the most swoon-worthy couple in SW3... oh, until Lucy found out that Proudlock was dating other women.

When Hugo was dating Millie Mackintosh in the show, he hooked up with her best friend Rosie. Millie then raised her glass to a party full of guests and said 'cheers to friendship'.

7. Spencer Matthews and Lucy Watson

Spenny took Lucy to Paris in 2013 and we almost believed he had given up his womanising ways. We were wrong and he admitted to cheating on Lucy with several women. Sigh.

8. Spencer Matthews and Louise Thompson

Louise joined the show as Spencer's (very despairing) girlfriend. Spencer being Spencer, couldn't stay faithful and resulted in a fair few teary scenes between the pair.

Binky and Alex were love's young dream (kinda) for two years until his constant cheating became unforgivable. It all worked out well though as she now has the cutest little baby girl with JP.
