I’m A Celebrity: Who Is Caitlyn Jenner’s Partner, Sophia Hutchins?

Within her first day of I’m A Celeb, Caitlyn Jenner expressed her worries about doing the show. In the Bush Telegraph, she was seen crying as she wondered whether she should be with her children - including Kylie and Kendall - instead. ‘Being the first night in the Jungle my head was spinning,’ she told the camera. ‘I’m kinda trying to figure out if I’m doing the right thing. I’m 70 years old now and is being in here the right way to use my time. Should I be home with my kids, playing with the grandchildren.’

Following the tears, Lorraine Kelly interviewedCaitlyn{ =nofollow}’s partner Sophia Hutchins on her morning show, where Sophia said she was ready to ‘fly in’ for Caitlyn. ‘When you throw in these challenges and she is crying, it has been gut wrenching to watch,’ she said. ‘Listen, when I saw that video of her crying, I was ready to get on a plane and go down to Australia.'

But, who is Sophia, and how long have the pair been ‘inseparable’ for?

Who is Sophia Hutchins?

Sophia Hutchins is a 23 year old transgender woman who went to Pepperdine University to study a degree in economics and finance. The graduate is currently launching Lumasol, an odourless SPF 50+ sunscreen mist that can be applied after make-up.

How long have Sophia and Caitlyn been together?

Sophia moved in with Caitlyn in Malibu, Los Angeles last year.

But she was introduced to Caitlyn by their shared hairdresser in 2015, when she was a student and had recently begun transitioning.

In fact, previously, Sophia has even worked as the CEO of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, whose official mission statement is to ‘promote equality and combat discrimination by providing grants to organisations that empower and improve the lives of transgender people’.

Are they actually together?

Both Jenner and Hutchins have previously denied their relationship. In an interview with Variety magazine, Jenner described them as ‘kind of inseparable’ but denied that they were a couple: ‘We are not going to get into that. But we are very closed – we do a lot of things together.’

Whereas Hutchins has previously said about their relationship, ‘I wouldn't describe it as romantic. I would describe it as we're partners, business partners – I'm the executive director of her foundation. We have so much in common and see the world so similarly, and are both such a good match for each other because we challenge each other.’

Fans thought that Sophia hinted at the romance during a question and answer session on Instagram when one person asked, ‘Are you in a relationship?’, to which she replied with a love heart eye emoji. But when another fan asked if she was dating Caitlyn, she replied with an eye roll. So, who knows?
