As it's The Small Steps Project’s 6th anniversary this year, to celebrate, they are hosting a celebrity shoe auction online, on the 1st November. We can’t quite contain our excitement at the prospect of purchasing the very shoes that Emma Watson wore to the My Week With Marilyn premiere or heels that were made for Kate Moss which she has personalised for this very auction (with a cheeky moustache from a party for Stella McCartney). So, we wanted to give you a sneek peak of what's on offer.
And, as if that's not enough to persuade you, Maisie Williams, along with a whole host of other A-listers have donated shoes, from the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Vivienne Westwood, Chris Hemsworth, Rachel McAdams and many more. Of course, what's so amazing is that all the proceeds go towards the charity. It’s a truly incredible cause so here are some exclusive pics of a selection of the shoes on offer (and the stars wearing them!).
The Small Steps Project started out when Amy Hanson, a former celebrity reporter, visited Cambodia and was shocked to see the number children that were scavenging through a rubbish dump barefoot, fighting for survival. She then started the project as a way to provide footwear for these disadvantaged communities.
Six years on and the project has expanded to provide education, neonatal care, hygiene, nutrition and nurseries for children across Laos, Cambodia and Romania.
