You may not have heard of Sky Brown, but that's going to change very soon. Just 11 years old, she has plans to compete for Britain in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Watch this face.

As a child of a British father and Japanese mother, Sky’s dual nationality meant she had options when it came to choosing who she competed for. She states that she decided to compete for Britain due to their relaxed approach to competing. She states in a BBC video: 'The British Skateboarding Association, [say] "no pressure, just have fun and get out there," so that's why I chose England."

As a fan of the sports since a young age, Sky has been perfecting her skateboarding skills since the age of three, after her father introduced her to the sport. She states that she would like to be a role model for other young girls: ‘I want to go to the Olympics because I feel like when they see me, this little girl doing these crazy tricks that probably boys aren’t even doing, they’ll be like maybe I can do that too.'

if Sky does compete in Tokyo, she willbe the youngest ever British competitor at the Summer Olympics. The previous youngest competitor was Margery Hinton, who was 13 years old at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics.

In an interview with the BBC, Sky claims ‘you can do sports and get dirty but still be a girly girl’. HerInstagramis full of shots of her cycling with her brother, travelling and spending time with her family.

Sky has already started using her fame for a greater cause. In a collaboration with a board manufacturer, Sky helped design a skateboard with bright patterns in order to support Skateistan. The first release of the boards raised over $16,000 for young women who don’t have opportunities for education or access to a safe free space.

The pint-sized athlete has previously won Dancing with the Stars Juniors across the pond in the American competition. She is also the youngest Nike sponsored athlete, and has already appeared in Nike campaigns with Serena Williams and Simone Biles.

A sporting legend in the making? We'll see...
