Shia LaBeouf Claims He Was Raped During His Art Show. Oh, and it was on Valentine’s Day, and his girlfriend was waiting outside.

Just in case you’d forgotten, Shia LaBeouf had an art show earlier this year. But the actor-turned-James-Franco-impersonator has now said that while he was performing #IAMSORRY, he was raped by a woman.

See, the Los Angeles art show consisted of Shia sitting on a chair in a room for five days with a paper bag over his head which had ‘I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE’ written on it in big, black lettering. Visitors would go into the room and look at Shia, even though he’s not famous anymore, then leave the room. That was the art.

But one woman took it too far, Shia said in an email interview with Dazed Digital.

‘One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me.’

‘There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with dishevelled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me, but her man as well.

‘On top of that, my girl was in line to see me because it was Valentine’s Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event – we were separated for five days, with no communication.

‘So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line.

‘When she came in, she asked for an explanation and I couldn’t speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma, silently. It was painful.’

Sorry we have nothing to add in-between his quotes; we’re kind of speechless. And now we’re wondering if the paper bag over Shia’s face had lipstick all over it, too.

After this email exchange, the journalist Shia had been communicating with met up with him for the actual interview. But when they met, Shia suggested they sit across from each other with cameras on their foreheads. In silence.

Which is exactly what The Mirror is getting from Shia’s representatives, who have yet to reply to them with a comment on the story.
