This is the second time a man called Jack has featured on Shameless Objectification - proving that Jack is a fit name. You’ll probably already recognise him as Cook from Skins (remember when Skins was still a thing? Sigh), and as Tulisa’s one-time boyfriend, but right now we’re loving him in new film Starred Up. (If you fancy coming to watch it with us on Tuesday night, here’s what you have to do to come along).

We love Jack because, despite getting typecast as the archetypal bit of rough/thug (and as Tulisa’s boyfriend) he’s proved himself to be a) a pretty amazing actor (he’s currently shooting Angelina Jolie’s new film Unbroken) and b) articulate, intelligent and thoughtful. Basically he’s a FIT bit of rough, who can string a sentence together. What’s not to love?

Vital statistics

Age: 23

From: Derby

Significant Other? None confirmed, but his exes include Skins co-star Kaya Scodelario and erm Tulisa, he’s shown a predilection for slightly famous brunettes. Seriously, Tulisa aint no blonde.

Reasons why we love him…

  • He’s admitted that he gets a bit carried away during sex scenes. NOT LIKE THAT - in that he falls a bit in love. ‘I’ve found myself besotted once or twice,' he told The Guardian.

  • He might be baaaaack on our screens an in our hearts as Pukey Nicholls in This Is England 1990 (he starred in the film This is England, but scheduling commitments meant he was unable to star in the two TV dramas that followed - set in 1986 and 1988 respectively).

  • Did we mention how beefed up he is in Starred Up?
