Serena Williams is set to marry fiance Alexis Ohanian this weekend, and the wedding is shaping up to be a seriously A-list affair.
Celebrity pals on the guest list include Beyoncé and Jay Z, Kris Jenner, and, of course, sister Venus. Suits star Meghan Markle is also expected to attend while there is no word yet on whether she will be accompanied by boyfriend Prince Harry.
The couple will exchange their vows at NOLA's Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans before moving on to a separate venue for the reception, People reported.
Their upcoming nuptials come following Williams’ first red carpet appearance since the birth of her first child this September. Earlier this week the athlete wore a Versace mini dress to attend the Glamour awards and present pal Gigi Hadid with the Supernova Award.
Williams and Ohanian started dating in 2015 and announced their engagement the following December. The couple welcomed their first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, in September.
While little is known at this stage about the tennis star’s bridal plans, if Williams’ hen party is anything to go by, it’s set to be pretty spectacular. Earlier this month Williams invited a selection of her celeb friends for an extravagant all-girls weekend at the Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York. The itinerary for their stay included five-star spa treatments at the La Mer spa, trapeze’ing, afternoon tea and dancing on the town.
