Whatever happened in the desert, Selena Gomez is trying to make sure it stays there. The singer has given her Instagram something of a spring cleaning, starting out by deleting the selfies she posted with Kendall and Kylie Jenner while at Coachella, then unfollowing everyone in her feed. And we mean everyone. She’s currently following 0 people.
Some theories:
1. She wanted to unfollow one or two people but didn’t want it to be a whole ‘thing’ so decided to simply unfollow everyone instead. If it was about the Jenners, though, it’s something of a giveaway that she deleted just their pictures together or she didn’t think she looked pretty in those pics – hey, it happens to the best of us.
2**. **Coachella was a lot. That weekend in the desert can be intense, and just looking at those pictures gave her PTSD. That also happens to the best of us (been there!).
3. She’s having an Instagram existential crisis. Constantly looking at what everyone else is doing and who they’re doing it with can be a real mind-fuck, and Selena may be super-famous but she is still human.
4. She’s legit over people sending her mysterious/subliminal messages with their Instagrams. You know those pictures you post to show your ex that you’re having the best time everrrrrr? Famous people do that, too. Stars, they’re just like us!
5. She probably created a private account under a fake name to follow people, where she will post her private selfies and only approve people she knows IRL. This is a very ‘celeb’ thing to do.
She’s still posting images on her main feed, though, and of course, selfies. We will update you on this vital, breaking story as it progresses.
