Scarlett Johansson has reportedly filed for divorce from husband Romain Dauriac after two years of marriage.
Romain's lawyers revealed to New York Daily News, that the journalist had received divorce papers from the actress.
The sad news does not come as a surprise however, as rumours circulating their alleged split emerged back in January.
Scarlett and Romain, the former editor of French art magazine Clark, started dating in 2012, and were married in a low-key ceremony in October 2014, just after welcoming their only daughter, Rose Dorothy.
A source told People magazine that the couple have been separated since last summer, while an insider told Us Weekly that 'Scarlett initiated splitting up and made the decision,' feeling like 'they didn't have much in common as far as lifestyle.' Despite this, the pair reportedly 'have an amicable relationship' and plan to co-parent their two-year-old daughter.
The news of course also follows Scarlett's recent controversial comments on relationships as she revealed: "I don’t think it’s natural to be a monogamous person".
Scarlett was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds (who is now married to Blake Lively) from 2008 to 2011.
