The solar eclipse on Monday night was cause for great excitement and celebration all over the world, with many celebrities documenting themselves watching it whilst wearing their finest eclipse get-up (aka special eye-protection goggles). But it looked like no one had as much fun as Sarah Jessica Parker did, according to her Instagram.
The Sex and the City star posted four videos to her Instagram page, where she can be seen on a boat in South Carolina surrounded by family and friends and shrieking with joy at what she was witnessing.

‘We are officially eclipse chasers!’ she captioned her first video, as she shows her view from the boat and the clear skies.
She then posted another, filming herself wearing protective goggles and then panning the camera in the sun's direction for a second before panicking, ‘don’t look too long!’ as if talking to her followers.
She then proceeds to watch the eclipse with avidity. ‘Maybe one of the most thrilling moments of my life,’ she narrates with great zeal. ‘Outside of course having children and marriage and all that – wow!’
In her third video her enthusiasm reaches fever pitch, as she can be heard shrieking: ‘Oh my god, this is the most spectacular light I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t make any sense!
‘It’s happening, you guys, it’s happening...Oh my god, it’s happening!’
The end of the video she can be heard praising the light: ‘This is the most spectacular, unimaginably perfect beauty...ridiculous.’
In her fourth and final video, SJP takes her voice down to a whisper. ‘We did it,’ she says in hushed tones, but still with the utmost passion. ‘We made it, we saw it. It’s so humbling, it’s so...extraordinary!’
