But Sarah Jessica Parker opted for a different look altogether at her real life nuptials. In 1997, SJP wed fellow actor Matthew Broderick and simultaneously broke tradition with a black Morgane Le Fay dress. And the actress undoubtedly sparked a trend.
You might think it’s a classic Carrie move to go against the mainstream but the truth is far from it. Turns out, SJP regrets her sartorial decision.
In a recent interview with Watch What Happens Live, the actress told Andy Cohen, “Oh, I wish it was because I was badass. I just was too embarrassed to spend any time looking for a wedding dress. There was a store that I liked that I knew, and I just went and got whatever they had hanging."
