Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn has shared that she has joined Only Fans and is reportedly ‘raking in’ the cash. However, in an unsurprising twist, not everyone is too thrilled with the mother of one’s choices. According to a source in The Sun, 'Since she joined last week, she's had over 700 people subscribe at $15 each, which means she's raking it in.' She has reportedly made £7,200 after only a week on the popular site.
The actress recently took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing her reasoning and revealed how her new venture made her feel. She wrote,'This is a decision I've thought long and hard about, not one I've taken lightly or on a whim.’ She explained that doing Only Fans was all about ‘ taking back control, about empowerment and confidence and having full power over my choices.’ She continued, 'I love doing photo shoots, always have always will, it's how I got into the acting industry, at the tender age of 12 I decided I wanted to be a model and enrolled on a modelling course, joined an agency and had my first professional shoot and I was hooked. I got my first tv audition and the rest is history.'
Sarah Jayne has a history in magazine modelling and she stated that sharing her content this way will put 'healthy boundaries in place.' She said, ‘I feel sexy and strong and confident when I shoot images like this.' Sarah also admitted that she understood the images weren't for everyone, which is why she is now putting them on OnlyFans. She said, 'I'll undoubtedly be judged, some might find it shocking, but I'm simply moving my sexier, racier images to another platform, I'm not sure what's shocking about it.’ The actress concluded by saying will rise above the haters if she gets trolled over her content.
Several online commenters have already criticised Sarah Jayne's decision, with some pointing out that a married mother shouldn't be sharing on Only Fans. Her Hollyoaks bosses have reportedly requested a 'meeting' with her. A spokesperson for the popular soap stated, ‘We are aware of the account and are meeting with Sarah Jayne Dunn to discuss it.'
Even if Sarah Jayne has her critics which, let's face it, is inevitable with any move involving a woman taking agency of her own body, now is a good time to share a reminder: women should be allowed to do what they want with their bodies - it's their choice.
