Another day, another reality star couple allegedly flouting government advice to go on holiday. This time, reports are suggesting that Made In Chelsea's Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson quietly jetted off to the Maldives. The MailOnlineis reporting that the pair left the UK last Sunday, on December 27th – a week after rules came into place banning travel from Tier 4 areas on December 20th. It's believed the pair stayed at luxury resort Ayada Maldives, which they previously visited in December of 2019.
The claims follow the detective work of social media users, who claimed to have worked out that Zara and Sam were no longer in the UK. Last week, Zara posted an outfit photo on Instagram, listing London as her location. Zara also shared an old video of her watching Sam on the PlayStation last Tuesday, where she asked other girlfriends of 'gamers' to suggest ways to irritate their partner while they're playing. But Zara also started to share DMs from fans, and her local time showed Maldives local time (11:14pm). This, it has been suggested, implies that the London-based content was posted from elsewhere or scheduled in advance.
This morning, both Sam and Zara have posted content on their Instagram stories from their flat, with Zara doing a 'Sainsbury's haul' and Sam discussing the morning routine he wants to get back into. (Sam has since been pictured outside his west London flat by the MailOnline.)
