Married At First Sight Australia: Sam Claims His Affair With Ines Was Completely Staged

Over the years we have seen reality villains like Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews and KUTWK's Scott Disick, but now we have a new reality bad guy to add to the list: Married At First Sight Australia's Sam Ball. During his time on the show, which is now airing on E4, Sam fat-shamed his wife Elizabeth - and then cheated on her with Ines, in an affair we all saw coming. Despite claiming he had been misjudged by women in the past, Sam really didn't help himself with the cheating storyline. And as it played out on screen, Ines started trending on Google as people wondered whether or not she wasa sociopath{ =nofollow}.

But now, in news we probably could have predicted, Sam has alleged the affair with Ines was created for ratings. While this isn't the first time he's said this, he's given new comments for UK viewers hooked on the series. ‘Thank you to all you guys in the UK enjoying the show because I’m about to ruin it for you,’ the 28-year-old announced on Instagram, before detailing how producers allegedly created his storyline with Ines, who stayed on the show just to hook up with Sam.

'[The producers] pulled me into a dark room, a black room, and asked me to do the Ines thing. They set that up,’ he said. ‘They made Ines DM me on the phone, that was all staged. I throw her on the bed on that date night, not even five seconds later, the producers come in and de-mic you. I didn’t sleep with Ines that night, that didn’t happen. I didn’t sleep with anyone on the show.'

Yikes.

Sam also said he - like everyone else - was paid to be on the show, so he wasn't too fussed about how he came across. (How much were they all paid?!) The reality star also claimed that he didn't mean to fat shame Elizabeth, saying: 'I didn’t want to fat shame her at all. That’s not what my intentions were. [The producers] asked me to say it. They were the ones that said, “Sam, she’s a big girl mate, what are you doing?” That’s messed up, they shouldn’t do that. It’s all bulls**t.’
