It was one of the strangest rumours of 2014. For months, the tabloids insisted that Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z were planning on splitting up at the end of their _On The Run t_our. Reports said the pair were working on an amicable agreement and that Beyoncé was even house-hunting alone in New York City. It just seemed so extreme.

It never made sense to us. These two are like the perfect lovers, never not looking at each other lovingly and spending every waking moment together both on tour and off yet the reports persisted, with silly vague blind items. At one point Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles said they even planted the rumours themselves, to help ticket sales on their joint tour.

But now those rumours have been put to rest with the news that they’ve reaffirmed their lifelong commitment to each other. ‘They did have major problems," a source reportedly told People. ‘But they worked it out and they've renewed their vows.’

We’re not sure how major those problems were, however. Cuh-learly something was up - there was the whole Solange elevator thing in which she went ham on Jay Z at the Standard Hotel. To this day no one knows what the eff the reason was behind it. Beyoncé appeared to stand there calmly, seemingly trying to soothe the situation. But Solange was so pissed at Jay-Z. Why? Possibly because he’d done something to upset Bey? Who knows.

Anyway, all's well now. In addition to renewing their vows, the couple has been house-hunting in Paris with daughter Blue Ivy, and taking the most adorable photos in the city’s museums in the process.

Maybe the road was rocky for a moment, but we are just so happy they’re sticking together and have worked through any issues. If a perfect love like Beyoncé and Jay-Z ended, what hope would there be for the rest of us?!
