It’s Lorde. Performing Without Autotune

OK, it's not. But it IS the Lorde parody to end all parodies…

Why, oh why have we spent so long watching acted-out parody music videos when comedians singing terribly over muted pop star performances are infinitely funnier? The latest one to do the rounds online is this interpretation of Lorde’s performance of Royals at the Grammys. Called 'LORDE WITHOUT AUTOTUNE', the original was pulled but a snippet of it remains below.

We won’t spoil it for you but basically put your headphones in if you’re at work and prepare to have your boss ask if you’re crying or laughing. (Both, if you're anything like us).

Ok...now you've settled down, there could be one incredible outcome of this video. Considering we know Lorde’s good at social media (well she is 17, after all) it won’t be long before she sees it. We also know she’s pretty cool and grounded and we know she’s just confirmed to perform at the Brits… Well, it’s wishful thinking, but nothing ever came of setting your sights low. Could Lorde be able to inject the normally stuffy Brits by doing a pisstake of this pisstake?
