Ruby Rose Is Single…Merry Christmas?

With the festive period comes a crunch time, relationship-wise. Are you or aren’t you going to survive the forced fun? The over-eating? The rush to the shops to buy each other a present which somehow has to encapsulate all the love and adoration you have for each other while disguising any of the loathing?

THAT, right there, are just some of the myriad reasons people will dump their significant others right before Christmas, and we wonder how much the above had to play in Ruby Rose and Phoebe Dahl’s break-up.

Phoebe, designer and granddaughter of Roald Dahl (cousin of Sophie Dahl, granddaughter of Patricia O’Neal), told Us Weekly: ‘After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways.’

She added: ‘While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part way. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time.’

Ruby, meanwhile, paid tribute to Phoebe on Twitter:

The couple had been engaged after just three months of dating in March 2014.

If you feel like now’s the opportunity for you and Ruby to do great things, she’s DJing across America, spending the day before New Year’s Eve in Vegas, New Year’s Eve itself in Cleveland, Ohio, and the next day in Las Vegas.

Well, that’s one way to get over an ex, we guess…
