Are Royals Human? Kate Middleton And Prince William Still Look Amazing After 30-Hour New Zealand-Bound Flight

How they managed to look quite so good after a long-haul flight is beyond us…

In the time of Elizabeth I, it was genuinely believed that Royals had been appointed to their lofty position by God himself. She had scribes create intricate family trees, putting her name was at the tip of the stalks and God at the root. Seriously.

Royals weren't perceived as rich people who could get into Mahiki by the back entrance, wear signet rings without reproach and sport a different outfit for every occasion. They were seen as virtual gods.

And though we're not really into all of that stuff, we're kind of tempted to believe it right now as photos emerge of Kate Middleton and Prince William (oh, and baby Prince George) arriving in New Zealand for their official tour. Despite disembarking a 30-hour flight (no amount of private jet-setting is going to undo the fact that you've been sitting in a cabin pressurised with recycled air for over a day), the three look fresher than a spring morning – all glossy hair (from Kate and George) and snappy dressing.

Kate happily strode along in a red Catherine Walker dress and matching pillbox hat. Predictably, William was wearing a suit, but how it managed to stay so crease-free is still a mystery. Oh, and little George was dressed in a cream jumper and a white shirt and shorts. And little cream booties and white socks, too. Is this the baby version of sliders and socks?

Regardless, putting an eight-month-old baby in white is perhaps the most decadent thing we've seen the Royals do since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding.

The only odd thing about it? Besides their uncanny ability to look stupendous, Kate had to hold George facing forwards so he could be properly seen on his first official trip. That said, we get to see his cute little squidgy face – and he is every bit his father's son.

After getting off of the plane and posing for photos in the blustery wind on the tarmac, instead of doing what we all do after a long-haul flight – yawning as our red, weak eyes gaze over to the luggage carousel in the hope our bag hasn't been lost somewhere over Norway – Kate and Wills were greeted by a Maori dance, welcoming them on their first official trip with Prince George. Of course.
