2018 has proved to be a monumental year for the Royal Family; there were two royal weddings, a pregnancy announcement, as well as the birth of a new royal.
However, there were other moments which have proved to be unforgettable for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
And the foursome shared their best moments over the last 12 months in a three-minute video compilation, which was posted on their official Twitter account.
Kensington Palace tweeted the montage alongside the caption: ‘Here are some of our favourite moments from 2018 — thank you to everyone who made this year so special. See you in 2019!’
In the footage Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding in May 2018, which took place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, made an appearance. The occasion was a date we all had in the diary and made this year monumental for the happy couple, as well as their fans.
2018 marked a whole host of firsts for Meghan. After the marital ceremony, the couple enjoyed their first royal tour as a married couple, which saw them jet to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. Their visit saw them meet with other notable figures, including the His Majesty King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipauʻu in Tonga, as well as servicemen and women taking part in the Invictus Games.
However, the tour also marked another major milestone for the pair. Within days of Meghan and Harry stepping foot down under they announced they were expecting their first baby together in October.
The baby news does not stop there as 2018 saw Kate Middleton give birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and the whole family attend a christening for the little one.
While Meghan carried out her first royal duties, including her first solo outing with Queen Elizabeth, she also attended a string of royal engagements including the launch of her first charity cookbook titled Together.
The foursome also celebrated the Queen’s birthday at the annual Trooping the Colour in June together, as well as Prince Charles’ milestone which saw him celebrate his 70th birthday with a string of parties this year.
The foursome attended the first annual Royal Foundation Forum together, visited numerous organisations across the globe, and paid tribute at the Remembrance Day event.
Kate and William enjoyed a visit to Coventry while the Duchess was pregnant, and over the Summer Kate opened the new Place2Be charity HQ, which she is a patron of. The two couples also carried out an extensive list of other philanthropic commitments.
2018 was certainly an eventful year and will be a tough one to beat. But here's to 2019!
