It’s been five months since the doors on the Celebrity Big Brother house closed but the repercussions of what happened still linger for Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet.
If you were living under a rock during the time CBB was on our screens, during Roxanne’s time in the house she accused Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas of punching her during the show before admitting ‘got it wrong’ when leaving the show.
Roxanne has opened up in an emotional first interview since leaving the show.
Roxanne admitted, “I’ve lost my career, my radio jobs, my life as I knew it, everything. I’ve only got my mum, my auntie and two friends now who I trust implicitly.’
During her time in the CBB house, she branded Ryan Thomas a ‘liar’ and ‘woman beater’. Thousands of people reached out to support Ryan Thomas on social media after watching back the punch gate footage.
‘It’s bad enough when one person berates you but I had thousands. I was put on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds immediately which numbed me but I still felt trapped in confusion and fear.” Roxanne told The Sun.
It seems Roxanne has had a tough time since the show as she admits, ‘I’ve been scared to leave the house, and strangers have shouted and spat at me in the street. I’ve been called evil and toxic from people who don’t know me.’

Since the show Roxanne wrote Ryan a letter of apology but she says, “You feel like you can never say sorry enough to every single person that hates you and I felt like there was no point in even trying anymore as the perception had become so bad. I just thought, I’m done. I’m not going to make it to Christmas.’
Roxanne has sourced help since the show as she travelled to Scotland where she was treated for PSD and ‘panic disorder’
