Rob Kardashian has a history of turning to social media when things aren’t going so well in his life. Remember that time he called out Rita Ora on Twitter for cheating on him with “nearly 20 dudes”? Well that seems like nothing compared to the events of this past weekend, between Rob and his fiancé/baby mama, Blac Chyna.
It all started when Blac Chyna posted on Instagram on Thursday, writing that she had 'some things I want to get off my chest about how I truly feel about Rob,' but the message was quickly deleted. Then her Instagram was hacked on Saturday, with Chyna quickly setting up a new account to explain, 'That’s not me on my IG page. That’s somebody that hacked me. And somebody’s really, really, really, really, really mad.'
The hacker then went on to share fairly innocent screen grabs of messages between Chyna and Jaden Smith, where Jaden appeared concerned about his friend Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Tyga (who is Blac Chyna’s ex and the father of her son, King, in case you’ve forgotten). Further conversations with rapper Young Thug suggested Chyna was setting up money-making opportunities with the paparazzi for them both. So far, not too scandalous. But it’s the chats between Chyna and her BFF Treasure that really made s**t hit the fan.
'He’s lazy, fat, insecure. Imma give rob 1 year to get it together or I’m gone,' read one message, supposedly written by Chyna, though its authenticity is yet to be verified. 'I don’t wanna treat him like Tyga but I will. Imma slap the s**t outta him.' Treasure’s advice? 'Just stack your money… Kris will make sure ya’ll stable always.' We’d like to hear what everyone’s favourite momager, Kris Jenner, has to say about that.
Interestingly enough, the ‘hacker’ initially pretended to be Chyna, writing, “I’m about to post all of my direct messages on IG with all the guys I was talking to. I no longer am with Rob. I left him and took the baby and did not even let him know. Stay tuned for screen shots and messages. I am Sorry Rob.” It was only once Chyna called them out from her new account, even goading them to “post it all!! Do it now!!! Don’t keep the people waiting :)”, that they admitted it wasn’t her. Or was it…?
In another Instagram post, Blac Chyna seemed to allude that Rob could have been the hacker, writing, 'Those Messages OLD AF! He only did this because when he went through my phone he couldn't find anything to be mad about! He's on snapchat acting hurt but he's yet to come see Dream yet! He knows where we are! Honestly it's only so much a person can take. Everyone has tried to help Rob. I've gone beyond to help and so has his family! I'm done with the situation until he gets help. I have no longer have time to feed into Robert's shenanigans I have 2 children and myself to fend for.'
One thing’s for sure, Chyna definitely left Rob and took baby Dream – plus all the furniture from the nursery they had put together for her and her son King’s bedroom furniture, with Rob Snapchatting the empty rooms. He also opened his fridge and cupboards to show Chyna had taken “all [his] Eggos”. She must really like waffles.
Rob’s issues with depression and overeating have been well-documented on both Keeping Up With The Kardashians and spin-off Rob & Chyna, as has his volatile relationship with his fiancé. In the first episode of Rob & Chyna, we saw pregnant Blac Chyna scream down the phone at Rob, asking, “Are you still texting bitches? Yes or no?” Soon after, there was a paternity test to prove Robert was definitely the father of the baby. They also lived apart for much of her pregnancy, with Rob seeking refuge at his own place during fallouts, and even falling off the radar completely – blocking Chyna and all of his family on every mode of communication – when things got too much for him.
There's no denying that Rob has bigger issues than his current relationship, but the most cynical among us can't help but point out that this latest drama occured just one day before Rob & Chyna's Baby Special aired on E!… and several days after a second season of their show was commissioned. Kris Jenner was still promoting the special on her Instagram yesterday, even posting a video of her Facetiming Chyna, though she is probably contractually obliged to do so. Coincidence or massive publicity stunt? We guess time will tell.
