Many women all over the world choose to freeze their eggs. But if you're an international pop star, why not do it twice? Rita Ora, singer, model, designer and singing contest judge, has done just that.
Rita, who turns 30 later this year, is one of the cover stars for the latest issue of LOVE Magazine, telling the magazine about the methods she has taken to ensure that she can become a mother one day, in her own time.
'I’d love kids', she says. 'You know I had my eggs frozen? Twice. I have two lots in different buildings in different countries. Just in case one of the buildings falls down.'
This isn't the first time Rita has discussed freezing her eggs. In 2017, she said that her doctor had advised her to look ahead. 'You’re healthiest now and I think it would be great,' she recalled them saying. 'Why don’t you put them away now and you’ll never have to worry about it again?'
The accompanying shoot sees Rita wander in the desert which, she says, was a welcome change. 'I’ve done so much partying I thought the time was right to do something different', she explains. 'So I thought, let’s go into the desert, let’s go for a hike, let’s breathe in some fresh air for a change.'

She is certainly due a break. As well as releasing her latest album, Phoenix, in 2018, Rita has been filming Twist - a modern adaptation of Oliver Twist also starring Rafferty Law and Sir Michael Caine - and can currently be seen on our screens on ITV's The Masked Singer.
Ora is one of an increasing number of women to freeze their eggs without a partner. According to the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority, 46% of women who froze their eggs were single. 77% of women who chose The London Women’s Clinic between 2012 and 2016 considered themselves to be single.
