She can sing, she can dance and she can act. And as if Rihanna didn't have enough talent already, we've now discovered that she's also a mathematician extraordinaire. Yep, the Barbadian beauty has been imparting her math wisdom to students in Malawi, Africa, and all for a good cause.
She travelled to the African nation in January as part of her role as founder of the Clara Lionel Foundation and global ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education. While she was there, she filmed a short documentary of her learnings about the challenges faced by the country's education system, which range from lack of classroom materials, shortage of teachers, and scarcity of educational institutions - which in turn requires many girls to make lengthy and potentially dangerous journeys to-and-from school.
In the documentary, Rihanna can be seen helping students solve math problems, as well as cheering on a girls' rugby squad. Taking to social media to share her experience in Malawi, she said: 'My time in Malawi was so inspiring! Working with my @ClaraLionelFdn to improve the lives of students globally, alongside @GPforEducation.'
Some eagle-eyed internet fans have however pointed out that Rihanna's math skills aren't quite up to scratch:
As you can see in the picture above, Rihanna was teaching students from a whiteboard, which read '3 - 0 = 0'. In reality, the 3-0 = 3, but we can let this minor mistake slide, seeing as she's teaching math for a good cause. RiRi, we salute you.
