The singer-turned-make up mogul arrived fashionably late wearing a cropped black, Marc Jacobs suit jacket and skirt with a matching hat and grey bodice covering her growing bump, in an ode to this year's theme, Black Dandyism - already making this one of the most iconic Met Galalooks of all time. In the months that followed, she has continued to dominate fashion headlines with her pregnancy style.

The singer already has two sons with her partner-of-four years, A$AP Rocky, who is one of this year's Met Gala co-chairs. Rihanna and Rocky's children's names are RZA Athelston, who they welcomed in May 2022, and Riot Rose, who was born in August 2023. The gender and due date of their third child is not yet known,

News of her first pregnancy, aged 33, broke when she was photographed in Harlem wearing jeans and a hot pink coat – naturally, the coat was undone from the waist down and she was not wearing a top underneath. Social media was duly sent into overdrive.
To amp things up further, Rihanna announced her second pregnancy during her half time performance at the Super Bowl. She wore an unzipped red jumpsuit with a red leotard underneath that revealed her baby bump.
And now, of course, Rihanna has seized the opportunity of the biggest night in fashion to showcase baby number three. Wearing a fitted blue satin top, skirt and heel set with a bucket hat, the singer staged an photoshoot in the New York traffic with her long term collaborator Diggzy.
Is Rihanna having a daughter?
Whilst the couple haven't officially announced the gender of their third baby, fans are clutching onto any slips ups that could give them the answers they desperately need. At the premiere of The Smurfs movie that Rihanna stars in, fans are convinced that A$AP Rocky might have let things slip. When asked by an Entertainment Tonight reporter 'Is this the girl you've been waiting for?' A$AP responded by saying 'It is man, it is,' then holds up the Smurfette toy in his hand, and whilst laughing said 'Right here, right here,' referring to the toy... or not?
The same reporter asked 'How big is this family going to get?' and Rocky said 'We're going to be like the Wayans Family!' The Wayans are one of Hollywood's most famous families with 10 siblings. The family are a powerhouse in the word of entertainment known for directing, writing and acting in popular films and shows like White Chicks, Little Man, The Wayans Bros and My Wife and Kids...to name a few. On more kids Rocky says 'Love is beautiful and it's just spreading it'. With baby number 3 on the way, it sounds like there are plans for many more to join the Rihanna and A$AP dynasty.
Who is Rihanna's partner and are they married?
A$AP Rocky, a musician best known for his songs Praise the Lord, F*ckin' Problems and Sundress, confirmed the news in an interview with AP journalists on the red carpet, saying: 'It's time to show the people that we was cooking up. I'm glad everybody's happy for us because we're definitely happy, you know!'
The musician added that it was 'amazing' and 'a blessing' that everyone is around to celebrate the news on the red carpet. 'We've been seeing love for the most part, you know, and we're real receptive to that and appreciate that,' he added. 'That's love. Love is love.'
There have been several rumours that Rihanna and Rocky are engaged, following pictures of the former wearing a (naturally, huge) diamond ring, although neither party has confirmed that news. The couple are not yet married, and in 2022 Rihanna told Vogue 'I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f--- says it has to be that way. I'm certainly not gonna let that get in the way of me being a mum'.
The baby number three news comes just two months after A$AP Rocky was found not guilty on two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in a Los Angeles courtroom. When he heard the judge's verdict, he leapt from his seat into Rihanna's arms in relief – a moment that seems all the more poignant with the added context that they were expecting another baby.
