If there are Navy members still in the process of building a mental anthology of Rihanna facts and figures, we’ve got a good one for you. The world already knows that Queen RiRi hails from the Caribbean island of Barbados. Specifically, from the capital city of Bridgetown. Even more specifically, on a street called Westbury New Road, apparently. But as of 30 November 2017, Westbury New Road will no longer be known by that name. It will henceforth be known as Rihanna Drive. True story.

Forget the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - Rihanna, international icon and consistent source of general life inspiration, is due to be bestowed the honour of having a road named after her.
The Barbados Ministry of Tourism recently announced their plans to ‘officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road’, reports Nation News.
The ceremony is expected to last two hours and, of course, Rihanna will be in attendance which poses the question of whether we can expect a very literal 'homecoming' performance. What’s low key brilliant about it all though, is that the spectacle (because if we know Rihanna, it’ll be the most spectacular of spectacles) will probably last longer than Trump’s presidential inauguration. Lololol.
Read into it what you will, but if we go by the Telegraph's live reporting of the fateful day that Donald Trump officially became President of the United States of America, the Obamas, Bidens and Trumps hit the stage between 4:29 and 4:34 pm. The concluding national anthem was sung at 5.26pm. Trump was then back on his beloved Twitter by 6.04pm.
