Anyone else fed up of the supposed on-off relationship between Drake and Rihanna? Sure, it’s fun as a fan to speculate as to whether their lyrics - especially on their collaborations - are about one another. But, if you get a hunch that the engagement rumours - set into overdrive after Drake presented Rihanna’s MTV VMA Vanguard along with a confession of his long-lasting love for her - are false, you’re in luck.
Because no less than Dennis Graham, Drake’s dad, and serial creator of some of the most astounding Instagram posts we’ve seen today, said that Drake and Rihanna are no more than friends.
Asked by a roving paparazzi in the employ of TMZ what the deal was between the pair, Dennis replied: ‘They're friends, they've been friends for years’
Asked if he was happy Rihanna and Drake were hooking up, he said: ‘I don't know about settling down, no they're friends.’
Pushed once more to respond, Dennis, clearly at the end of his tether, replied: ‘There’s no relationship, they’re friends.’
Well, has that settled it once and for all?
Probably not.
