Singer, actress and sometimes Drake-date Rihanna is continuing her upward career trajectory by smashing a massive musical record, previously held by The Beatles in the US.
Rihanna’s singles - including collaborations with other artists including TI and Eminem - have spent a record-breaking 60 weeks at the Billboard Hot 100 number one spot, that’s one more week at number one than The Beatles.
This is thanks to huge success from the sales of ‘Work’, the first single from her latest album Anti, which is still trending at the number one spot, and has been for a total of nine weeks. So yeah, she’s doing pretty well.
This means the singer is now second on the list of all-time chart toppers, behind Mariah Carey, whose record is an incredible 79 weeks.
In other news, Rihanna has also released the video for her single ‘Needed Me’. And in classic RiRi style, this is supremely not safe for work. You have been warned.
