Renée Zellweger has done it again, and teased us with the possibility of a fourth Bridget Jones movie being on the cards (something she's been doing a fair amount of, recently.) Speaking to Red Magazine in a recent interview, she said 'I don’t think Bridget ever really leaves. She’s always there, particularly if I have a live television event or red carpet. And I love her – she makes me laugh. I mean, she’s always a delight'

Commenting on the possibility of a fourth Bridget Jones film, she said 'I mean, if that’s what Helen [Fielding, the author] wants to do, it sounds fun.'

She also added that she has a special relationship with London - Bridget's hometown 'Every time I come back [to London] it feels like homecoming. And it’s easy, I mean, the geese on The Serpentine are the only thing I worry about – they can stand their ground. But using the Tube is really easy. It’s all really easy, I think, if you just look normal. [I wear] gym gear. I look like I’m going to the gym most of the time, and nobody even looks in my direction.'

It's not the first time she's teased a fourth Bridget Jones film. In May, Renée Zellweger admitted that she would ‘go running [to them]’ if she was asked to reprise her role in the iconic franchise. And, revealing that our dreams might come true sooner than we think, the 50-year-old also let slip that Helen Fielding has already written a fourth book.

While appearing on The Talk, Renée joked the film would be titled ‘[Bridget Jones](https://graziadaily.co.uk/celebrity/news/bridget-jones-cast-facts-trivia/-trivia/): The Menopause’. But, reassuring us, she added, ‘No, I know Helen’s [Fielding] written the book, and I love this character. So, I mean, if they call me, I’ll go running.’

Renée also told The Daily Record the same kind of thing last year, so it sounds like she's definitely been thinking about reprising the part of Mark Darcy's wife. 'She’s so much fun,' she said. 'I really like the place she is at in her life, but it’s Bridget and there’s always going to be some drama. She’s so perfectly imperfect. It was really special to see her so welcomed and loved after such a long time away because it can go either way. This could have been the one I was finally found out on.'

The last film - which featured a questionable cameo from Ed Sheeran - followed Bridge in 2016 as she tried to discover who the father of her baby was. But, unlike the first two films in the franchise, it wasn’t adapted from a Fielding novel. (The third book in the series Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy was published in 2013.) So who knows what Fielding has in store for us if we're lucky enough to get a fourth instalment? Could Daniel Cleaver return?

While we're waiting for some new Bridget, Renée's most recent thriller TV series What/If has already been a Netflix hit. And she is also set to star in the upcoming Judy Garland biopic Judy.
