Rebel Wilson’s memoir is the gift that keeps on giving. Before Rebel Rising was even released, the Australian actress’s autobiography had made headlines around the world and sparked a whole lot of controversy, from her allegations against Sacha Baron Cohen (a man Rebel brands an ‘asshole’) to her claims that Adele ‘hates her’.

Still, when the book hit shelves in April, never could have guessed that one of the most shocking segments would relate to one X-rated claim about an anonymous member of the British royal family. In Rebel Rising, the Bridesmaids actress says that she had sex for the first time when she was 35 years old. However, Rebel claims that this nearly wasn’t the case, as she almost lost her virginity at a drug-fuelled orgy including a member of the royal family.

Rebel, who is now engaged to designer Ramona Agruma, writes that the unnamed Royal, who she says was ‘15th or 20th [in line to the British throne]{href='https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgraziadaily.co.uk%2Fcelebrity%2Fnews%2Froyal-line-of-succession%2F%23%3A~%3Atext%3DWhat%2520is%2520the%2520current%2520order%2Cin%2520the%2520line%2520of%2520succession.&data=05%7C02%7CIsobel.Lewis%40bauermedia.co.uk%7C6778a18a8f964e98904f08dc638feca2%7C0e79f3f34eeb48ed815e2876c379e863%7C0%7C0%7C638494717010850951%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=K3hAlj9dZbljPCH6fr6x2W%2FUW2UVKHpD3EUwR7jDjaI%3D&reserved=0' }’, invited her to a ‘tech billionaire’s’ medieval-themed party on a huge ranch ‘just outside LA’. Rebel says that she was invited to the event through a male friend, after the royal told him that they wanted ‘more girls’ to attend. However, it wasn’t until 2am that Rebel began to realise the party was turning into an orgy when a tray of MDMA started to be handed around.

‘I watch the British royal flounder around whilst I continuously hike up my boobs. They are my best physical asset,’ she wrote. ‘There’s a huge private fireworks display and then all of a sudden, it’s 2am. A guy comes out with a large tray piled with what looks like a ton of candy. I’m like, “Ooooh, is that candy?” and the guy holding the tray says, “No, this is the molly.” He says, “Oh, it’s for the orgy… it’s about to start… the orgies normally start at these things about this time.”’

‘Now the comment by the Windsor about needing more girls started to make a lot more sense. They weren’t talking about a boy-girl ratio like it was a year-eight disco. They were talking about an ORGY! So I’m like two minutes away from being in an orgy... for my first sexual experience!’

In the end, Rebel Wilson decided against it and scarpered from the situation. ‘Needless to say, I hike up my damsel dress and run out of there as fast as I can – not looking back for fear I’ll witness some insane centipede of tech guys and Hollywood wispies around the fire pit.’

Who is the royal Rebel Wilson writes about?

While Rebel, who is best known for playing 'Fat Amy' in Pitch Perfect, doesn’t name the royal who allegedly invited her to the event, she does drop a few clues about their identity. The event is said to have happened in 2014. Rebel claims that she spoke to the billionaire at the party, but that the person basically ‘blanked’ her. She also said that the royal was ‘15th or 20th’ in the line of succession, although could have been exaggerating.

It’s fair to assume that the royal would have been a similar age to Rebel, who is now 44. They’d also have to be the kind of person to attend a party in LA – something we can’t imagine all the royals doing. Will we ever know? Probably not, but it’s fun to guess…
