Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding celebrations are well underway, and the couple have paid close attention to detail for their special day. The soon-to-be husband and wife have thought of everything imaginable to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly, but also so their guests will not want for anything throughout the three-day affair.
The Quantico actress and her 26-year-old beau have previously joked their guests will need a holiday after they exchange nuptials, yet Priyanka and Nick have organised their wedding weekend better than a conscientious holiday rep.
Friends and family attending the wedding, held at the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, have been flooded with gifts from the happy couple ahead of their nuptials.
Guests have received a sweet welcome pack by Priyanka and Nick, which is arguably more impressive than the palace illuminated to show off all its glory. The contents includes an information guide about the arrangements over the coming days, as well as an itinerary – makes perfect sense, right?
But it gets a little more interesting. The goodie bag also features a ‘Western Weddings for Dummies’ as well as an ‘Indian Weddings for Dummies’ handbook, an assortment of Indian spices, as well as a pair of shoes and an ‘Oh S**t Kit’ in case they forgot (or ran out of) any essentials during the 72-hour celebrations.
A source told Entertainment Tonight: “Guests were given various gifts and a gift bag on their arrival with cards from Priyanka and Nick. The cards are gold-and-white and gorgeous and lay out the itinerary for the weekend. Inside the gift bags is a bag labelled 'Taste of India,' which has all sorts of traditional foods, spices and treats from India so guests can get a taste of Priyanka's culture. Inside guests were also given 'The Oh Sh*t Kit,' which is for people who may have forgotten something or for their hangover. Women were given beautiful totes as well."
Bollywood stylist, Mitali Handa, has shared a sneak peek of the gift bags on her social media account.
Priyanka and Nick gave everyone a personalised silver coin with Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi emblazoned on them. The couple have even arranged a pop-up shop filled with ornately decorated designer Indian outfits, and have erected a wishing well in the palace too.
We know what you’re thinking… where was our invite?
