Priyanka Choprahas sweetly said that her best friendMeghan Markle was ‘always destined for big things’. Speaking in the latest issue ofElle, the actress told how the Duchess of Sussex has fulfilled her 'destiny' by becoming a 'important voice' for change.
‘Megs ... she was always meant for big things,’ the 36-year-old told the magazine. ‘To be a change and be an important voice in doing that. It's amazing that she found that calling and has the platform to be able to do it. By the time this comes out, she will have a baby [Archie, who was born on 6 May] it's so amazing how lives change. I'm a big believer in taking charge of your life, but there's got to be something bigger that puts us into the circumstances that we are put in.’
Priyanka and Meghan became friends in January 2016 after bonding at an ELLE Women in Television event. The Duchess has previously said about their friendship, 'You know when you meet someone and you just click? It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town.'
The interview comes three months after Priyanka cleared up that rumours that there was a rift between her and her BFF - after she failed to attend her baby shower. During an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Priyanka insisted it was simply 'not true'.
