The (second) biggest A-list wedding of the year is very nearly upon us: actress Priyanka Chopra is set to marry former boybander-slash-abstinence advocate Nick Jonas in a three-day ceremony in Jodphur, India. From the anticipated A-list guest list to the stunning venue to the outrageously #spon-heavy pre-parties, here's everything you need to know ahead of this genetically blessed couple's big day...

Wait. When did they get engaged?

It’s the definition of a whirlwind romance. After just a few months of dating, the couple confirmed their engagement with (how else?) a pair of Instagram pictures posted in tandem in August this year: Nick shared a photo of his now-fiancée with the caption ‘Future Mrs Jonas,’ Priyanka re-posted the same image with the words ‘Taken… With all my heart and soul.’ They also took part in a traditional roka ceremony in Mumbai to mark the union of their two families.

What's the engagement ring like?

According to some reports, Nick decided to shut down an entire Tiffany & Co store in London back in July in order to find the perfect engagement ring for his bride-to-be (very Sweet Home Alabama, am I right?) His eventual choice was a square-cut diamond in a platinum band, featuring smaller baguette diamonds at the side; according it experts, it’s likely to have cost around $300,000. Phew.

What about the hen do?

Do keep up – that happened earlier this month, when Priyanka headed to Amsterdam (a classic hen do stomping ground, if there ever was) with a gang of her closest friends, including filmmaker Shrishti Behl Arya, Tamanna Dutt, Natasha Pal and Chanchal Dsouza, as well as sister Parineeti and soon-to-be sister-in-law Sophie Turner. The itinerary included a boat ride through the city’s famous canals, afternoon tea and copious amounts of champagne.

What’s the deal with all the #spon?

Ah, it was only a matter of time before we had to talk about the #spon. Not only was Priyanka’s wedding registry a #paidpartnership with Amazon, Nick’s bachelor party also featured paid posts for Limebike (an upscale microscooter brand) and Elit Vodka. Is this the most brand friendly wedding since Chiara Ferragni (aka The Blonde Salad) got married?

When is the wedding?

The couple are said to be planning a multi-day celebration, kicking off on November 30th and carrying on until December 2nd.

Where is Priyanka and Nick’s wedding venue?

Priyanka and Nick are set to tie the knot in the Umaid Bhawan palace in Jodhpur, the primary home of the Jodhpur royal family and India's 'last living palace.' The stunning building can boast – deep breath – 347 rooms, a museum and a hotel (with a 9.8 rating on Booking.com, no less) inside. One of the largest private residences in the world, it’s arguably the perfect backdrop for many lavish celebrations that the couple have planned. It’s thought that they’ll stay in the Maharani Suite, the hotel’s most luxurious room, which boasts a private terrace overlooking 26 acres of palace gardens.

Who is Priyanka’s maid of honour?

It’s been reported that Priyanka has chosen her long-time friend Mubina Rattonsey, a film producer, to act as her maid of honour; we'd also be surprised if she hadn't asked her sister Parineeti to take on bridesmaid duties. Indeed, when one news outlet posted a story claiming that she had not been chosen as a bridesmaid, Parineeti hit back with a tweet saying: 'I urge you - Please do better research before printing articles.'

Obviously what I really want to know is, will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be attending?

There's been no official word as yet (the Palace isn't exactly famed for providing advance warning of whether its inhabitants will be attending celeb weddings, after all) but there's certainly no archaic bits of royal protocol stopping Harry and Meghan from attending, should Priyanka decide to return the favour and invite them along for the ride. Plus, neither of the Sussexes have any official engagements planned over the weekend in question. Coincidence? Only time will tell...

What will Priyanka be wearing?

‘I always believe that everything and anything I wear, I have to be comfortable and cute. So it’s going to be cute and comfortable,’ Priyanka told ET of her wedding dress plans back in October. That doesn’t exactly shed much light, but we can surely expect multiple outfits from the star across the course of the weekend, with different styles for the Hindu and Christian ceremonies. Rumours suggests that, for the latter, her bridesmaids will be wearing Ralph Lauren, a brand with whom the couple have a starry history: they first met when the label dressed them both for the Met Gala in 2017…
