Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Celebrate Their First Holi Together

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra returned to India, where they got married in December 2018 in a spectacular wedding, to celebrate Holi. The two-day Hindu holiday also known as the ‘festival of colours’ marks the beginning of spring. Although the festival doesn’t start until 9 March, the Jonas Brother, who was celebrating for the first time, took to Instagram to share the colourful pictures and acknowledged they were celebrating early.

In the caption below the photos and video of Nick and Priyanka with their friends covered in brightly coloured powder in Mumbai, Nick referred to India as his 'second home'.

‘My first Holi! (Five days early) So much fun celebrating with such incredible people here in my second home in India,’ he wrote.

Two other gorgeous images showing the couple cuddling while dressed in traditional white embroidered outfits were sweetly captioned ‘She makes me smile a lot #holi’.

Priyanka also shared pics from the celebrations. The Bollywood star and her husband posed in their freshly powder-paint-bombed clothes; she captioned the photos with 'And that’s how it’s done!'

Another set of photos included a group picture with the couple and their family and friends captioned

It’s clear Nick and Priyanka are a couple who love travel and adventure. Their Instagram accounts are full of images from their escapades whether it’s romantic horseback riding trip or skiing in Mammoth Mountain, California.

The couple recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary on 1 December.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine about how they celebrated, Priyanka said ‘It was good to get away from all the work that we’ve been doing. He’s been on tour, I’ve been filming a movie, so it was nice to just sort of disconnect,' she said. 'Even if it was just two days, it was enough.’
