There's set to be a second royal wedding in 2018 as it has been announced that Princess Eugenie is engaged to her boyfriend of several years Jack Brooksbank.

The news was announced via a statement from Buckingham Palace, which said: 'The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announced the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank. Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month. The wedding will take place in the Autumn of 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course.'

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding will take place in the same venue as Eugenie's cousin Prince Harry, who wed Meghan Markle at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May.

The Princess met Mr Brooksbank, who was the manager of Mahiki, while skiing in Verbier six years ago. She will keep her royal title when she marries and can choose to take his surname if she wishes.

Eugenie is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. Her elder sister is Princess Beatrice. She is reportedly 'firm friends' with Prince Harry's bride-to-be, Meghan Markle.
