The Sweet Reason Princess Beatrice Probably Won’t Release Her Wedding Photos Until Tomorrow

Looks like we're going to have to wait...

Congratulations are in order for Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi{ =nofollow}, who tied the knot at a secret ceremony earlier today at the private church at Windsor Castle. Only around 20 guests were invited to the big day, with those including Beatrice's mum Fergie, her dad Prince Andrew and the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Unlike other royal weddings, the pair kept the ceremony low-key, and due to the pandemic, had to scale back the ceremony from 150 guests so everybody could social distance safely. But if you want a glimpse at what the ceremony looked like - we know we do - then you're probably going to have to wait. And it's for a very sweet reason.

The ceremony happened at 11am this morning, but the Queen left at 11.45am so she could be driven back to Windsor Castle to get ready to present a knighthood to 100-year-old NHS fundraising hero Capt Tom Moore at 3pm. And, according to the Daily Mail, 'it is understood the couple will not be releasing a wedding photo today because they do not want to overshadow the investiture of Captain Tom Moore, who is due to receive his knighthood from the Queen at Windsor Castle this afternoon'. 'How classy of Princess Beatrice,' @hannahh159 wrote on Twitter, 'not releasing a wedding photo until tomorrow so the focus can be on Sir Tom Moore today!'

The couple announced their engagement last September, with the pair releasing a statement that read: 'We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.' Edoardo is a multi-millionaire, having founded the property consultancy Banda (it means ‘big shed’ in Swahili) in 2007. The company specialises in finding and developing homes for the super-rich.
