Prince William Uses Business Trips To Catch Up On Sleep

This week we brought you the news that the Duchess of Cambridge has returned to work after five months’ maternity leave. And while maternity leave is a topic riddled with judgement and frustration, even for rich and famous sorts like Kate Middleton, it’s easier than ever to see why she’s back at the grindstone again.

Because husband Prince William has nodded to a great perk of the job while on a tour around Africa.

Speaking at the British High Commissioners’ reception in Windhoek, the Duke of Cambridge told attendees:’I’m delighted to be visiting Namibia for the first time. I'm only sorry that my wife Catherine is not able to join me.

‘She is immensely jealous. Particularly as I'm looking forward to a few good uninterrupted nights sleep this week away from my wonderful children.’

He also spoke about Namibia’s ‘particular leadership on issues such as gender equality and climate change’ and totally bigged up the country’s attitudes towards conservation

‘This is an issue very close to my heart and I know is is also a matter of deep pride to you all as well

‘Your country is famous for its beautiful environment and its wildlife. This is the reason why so many tourists, including tens of thousands of Brits, visit every year.’

One such Brit is Wills’ brother,Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex first visited the southern African country in 2015, when he worked on conservation projects, and was spotted getting on budget airlines during his trip. It was also rumored that he and Meghan Marklewould spend their honeymoon in the country. That hasn’t yet happened, but maybe they’ll want to save the long-distance trips for a little later down the line, maybe when there are screaming kids to get a little respite from…
