The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on their royal tour in Sweden, and one of the first stops on their trip saw them visit the National Museum of Architecture and Design in Stockholm.
On been given a tour of an exhibition of young Swedish designers by Marcus Engman, Ikea's head of design, the royal couple revealed that they had Ikea furniture in their home. It seems the royals are more like us than we though with Engman disclosunf that both George and Charlotte’s rooms were kitted out with pieces by the Swedish homewear store.
‘I'm proud that we can suit everybody,’ Engman told the press.
Ahead of meeting William and Kate, Engman had said: ‘It would be nice to know if they have any Ikea furniture. I know that the royals in Sweden have. Why would it not be possible for them? There is a great variety. Our beds are really good, and affordable. You get a lot for your money there.’
Kate and William moved into their apartment at Kensington Palace last year to be close by Prince George’s school and Prince Charlotte’s nursery. Their home was decorated by celebrated interior designer Ben Pentreath.
