Prince William turned 37 last week (21 June) and we’re sure his day consisted of a lovely lie in, a peaceful walk in the countryside with pooch Lupo, followed by a home cooked roast at home in Kensington Palace. See, they’re just like us!
When it came to gifts for a man who already has everything, it’s been reported that his wife Kate Middleton and the three children Prince George, Princess Charlottes and Prince Louis got very creative when it came to William's birthday present this year.
According to The Sun, the family spent months collecting family photos and homemade pictures (all out of sight of William) to make a very special scrapbook that he can treasure forever.
The close source said: "Kate and the children have been compiling a large album of the childrens' paintings, drawings and collages and prints.
"They reflect what they have been doing over the past year."
The book was reportedly themed ‘Den they were Three’ - amazing pun - to celebrate Prince Louis’ first year in the family and the family’s love of nature, relating to Kate’s Back To Nature gardenthat she designed for the Chelsea Flower Show back in May.
"You could say it's a reminder to William about what is really important. It's been put together with a great deal of care,” the source continued. Adorable.

But like most birthdays, there was a sprinkle of drama as royal fans were left upset after they noticed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s ‘brief’ and ‘cold’ public birthday message to William on his birthday - sparking more rumours that the brothersare not as close as they used to be.
Instead of writing a post on their own Instagram account Sussex Royal, Meghan and Harry decided to comment on a post already posted by Kensington Palace, writing: "Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!"
