The set of Suits had a royal visitor last week, when Prince Harry reportedly made his first visit to his girlfriend Meghan Markle’s place of work.
According to Hello, the Prince made a low-key visit to the Toronto set of the legal drama, in which Meghan stars as lawyer Rachel Zane, and had the chance to meet with members of the show’s cast and crew.
‘He was super low key, met some crew and was so happy to watch his lady. He’s incredibly supportive of her work,’ a source told the magazine. ‘Meghan showed him around set. Everyone was so excited.’ Kensington Palace have not yet commented upon the trip.
Harry’s latest trip to Toronto coincides with the fourth Invictus Games. The week-long sporting event, which was founded by the Prince in 2014, sees injured military personnel and veterans compete in events from swimming to wheelchair basketball to cycling and rowing.
While Harry showed his support for Meghan’s career earlier in the week, the actress later returned the favour when she cheered on the Prince at the Invictus Games opening ceremony on Saturday night.
Though Meghan was seated a few rows away from the Prince, next to her friend Markus Anderson, the occasion marked the first time that Meghan has accompanied her boyfriend of one year to such a high profile public event – albeit from a slight distance. Harry, meanwhile, was placed next to US First Lady Melania Trump, who he met earlier in the day, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to onlookers, Meghan could be seen clapping and nodding throughout the Prince’s emotionally charged opening remarks, in which he praised the strength, resilience and dedication of the former service men and women.
It’s thought that Meghan was accompanied to the event by a member of Harry’s security detail.
This latest public appearance will not doubt add further fuel to on-going rumours of a royal engagement. Discussing her relationship with the Prince in Vanity Fair earlier this month, she said: ‘I’m sure there will be a time when we have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours.’
