Prince Harry is in a ‘hurry’ to move in with his girlfriend Meghan Markle, according to new reports.

Since the couple got together last summer, the Suits star has regularly stayed with Harry in Nottingham Cottage, his home in the grounds of Kensington Palace. Once the ongoing renovations at the Palace (which includes a basement expansion that will make way for more staff living quarters) are finished, it will be the perfect opportunity for the Prince to move into a new apartment with Meghan.

‘He keeps popping round and asking when [the renovations] will be ready,’ a source told the Daily MailDaily Mail, adding that the Prince ‘seems in a real hurry to move in with Meghan.’

His new apartment will reportedly be much closer to the apartments that will house the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge later this year, once they make the permanent move to London from Anmer Hall in Norfolk in order to better carry out their royal duties. Some sources go as far to predict that Harry might move back into Apartment 9, where he grew up.

His mother, Princess Diana, moved into Apartment 9 after her marriage to Prince Charles, and lived there until her death in 1997.

‘Harry sees his future at Kensington Palace but he can’t live in Nottingham Cottage forever. It’s not what you would call a family home,’ a source told the Sunday Express.

‘If the basement plans are given the go-ahead then this will free up the rest of Apartment 8 and the whole of Apartment 9, giving Harry the option of moving back into the home where he grew up.’
