It’s been two weeks since Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping down from royal duties - and now Harry has arrived in Canada as he prepares for a new life. Meghan was already staying in Canada with Archie, as she only briefly visited the UK when the announcement was made.

On Sunday night, speaking for the first time since the shock announcement, the Duke said that he was left with ‘no option’ but to step down, adding that he will always love the UK. Speaking at a charity event, he said, ‘Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve. For those reasons, it brings me great sadness that it has come to this. The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back, is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges.’

Earlier this month, the pair decided to ‘step down’ from their senior royal duties so they can split their time between North America and the UK. And on Saturday, it was announced how their new life will look. From the spring, the Sussexes will no longer be full-time working royals - which means they will stop using their HRH titles, no longer formally represent the Queen and won’t carry out royal duties or military appointments.

Obviously, their lives are set to change - and it’s likely we will see an increase of photos of the pair in public. The British press - and the photographers who work for them or sell images to them - are bound by privacy laws, but their royal status meant they were less likely to be photographed. As Grazia reported, we could be seeing more photos of them very soon.
