We’ve got quite used to cooing over pictures of Prince George and Princess Charlotte every time they leave the house, but the royal duo outdid themselves on Christmas Day.

It was the first year the siblings have attended the service at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, with their parents Kate Middleton and Prince William, and they looked ridiculously cute.

Prince George was wearing a charcoal grey Pepa & Co coat with navy panelling (which we’d quite like for ourselves) with his signature knee-high socks and loafers. It wasn’t, however, his style that people were talking about but a candy cane he had hanging jauntily out of his mouth as he left the church.

Also with candy cane, Princess Charlotte went for a similar double-breasted coat to her brother, but in navy, with maroon tights, a matching bow hairclip and little Mary-Janes.

The sassy little twosome even outshone Kate Middleton, who recycled the maroon Hobbs coat she wore for her second solo public engagement, to a hospital in Liverpool in 2012, and to Grimsby in 2013. While in the past she's layered it over a black roll neck, she went for a matching faux fur collar.

Prince William looked dapper, co-ordinating with a maroon tie.

Traditionally the family spends Christmas at Sandringham and walks to a church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, but this year they decided to attend the service near near their family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. Pippa Middleton joined the Cambridges, with her fiance James Matthews.

The Queen also missed the Sandringham service and usual walk due to a continuing heavy cold.

The Royal Family Tweeted a picture of the rest of the family, including Prince Phillip, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Camilla at the service, but didn’t mention Her Majesty’s absence.
