In what has been a royally dramatic week, what with Prince Harry flying back to Canada and the Queen’s grandson selling milk in China{ =nofollow}, there’s even more weird royal news. Prince George is getting his own show. Well, not quite. But close enough. Gary Janetti, the Family Guy writer and producer who turned his Instagram account into a Prince George meme account, is now transforming that Instagram account into an animated television series called The Prince for HBO Max.

And it has an all-star cast… Gary will voice Prince George in the show, with Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander as both Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming as George’s butler, Owen, Frances de la Tour as Queen Elizabeth, and Iwan Rheon as Prince William. Woah.

The account started in September 2017, when Prince George was photographed on his first day at school. The account is now a full-time George account, and Janetti regularly posts headlines about the royals, juxtaposed with George’s ‘reaction’. According to Deadline, each episode George 'will find his path in life as a young prince in modern times — from the 775 rooms of Buckingham Palace to his family’s sea of corgis to primary school with commoners.'

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content, HBO Max, said in a statement, 'We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know — that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet. We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square.'

But, as some have pointed out on social media, isn’t it a little unfair to be making satire from photos of a 6-year-old? As one Facebook user pointed out, ‘He never asked for our attention.’
