Today marked Prince George’s first ever day at nursery school, and the pictures are as adorable as we expected.
The photos, taken by proud Mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, show George smiling cheerfully and pointing at a colourful mural outside Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk, near the family’s home at Anmer Hall. The third-in-line to the throne wore a cosy winter coat and a light blue rucksack, and looked excited to be starting school.
The images, which follow the release of the family’s Christmas portrait late last year, were shared on Kensington Palace’s Twitter account this afternoon. It’s not the first time that Kate has turned photographer: she also snapped the first official pictures of Princess Charlotte, which were released in June last year.
Montessori schools are known for their liberal approach, placing emphasis on following a child’s development rather than sticking to a super-strict curriculum.
All together now: Aww!
