Prince George knows a thing or two about being in the spotlight. After all, in his five-years of royal life so far, he's learnt how to meet world leaders (and how to snub them, à la Canada's President Justin Trudeau), he's honed his royal wave (albeit slightly nervously, sometimes) and he's perfected the royal photocall (particularly when greeting a new sibling for the first time at the Lindo Wing).
So it is perhaps no surprise that the eldest Cambridge child was on hand to comfort a crying flower girl at the royal wedding of his uncle Prince Harry to Meghan Markle last weekend. Sensitive George reportedly swooped in to try and help his nanny Maria Borrallo calm 2-year-old Zalie Warren, the daughter of Prince Harry's close friends Zoe and Jake Warren, who grew restless waiting for Meghan to get to the church (didn't we all!)
According to royal reporters Emily Andrews and Omid Scobie, who were speaking on the On Heir podcast: 'She started crying when they were waiting for Meghan,. It was only a couple of minutes. So Nanny Maria Borrallo kind of looked after her, and George apparently was trying to comfort her as well, which is very sweet.'
George himself of course looked quite shy during the proceedings, hiding behind his father Prince William's legs while younger sister Princess Charlotte seemingly relished the chance to wave enthusiastically to the waiting crowds in Windsor.
Speaking of Charlotte's enthusiasm, she also reportedly kept some of the flower girls in line during the ceremony, telling one that: 'No you can’t go yet. We have to wait until we are asked.' Bless.
