Pippa Middleton and her new husband James Matthews are following up their lavish £1.2 million wedding with a honeymoon that is estimated by the Daily Mail to be costing an eye-watering 30 times the amount spent by the average couple.

Clocking in at an estimated £120,000 (so far) the newlyweds three-week tour of the Southern Hemisphere has seen them holidaying in the luxurious resort of The Brando in French Polynesia followed by city-breaks in Sydney and Darwin in Australia. They are also expected to be finishing their honeymoon by visiting Matthews' home in the Scottish Highlands.

Presumably travelling first class (natch) and via a private seaplane, the duo have been far from scrimping on ensuring their honeymoon is one to remember - although privacy concerns will also be high on their priorities.

Their 5-star accomodation at The Brando cost £5,000 per night, while in Sydney they are believed to have stayed at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's preferred hotel, The Park Hyatt, which has suites at £11,000 per night.

Add to that Pippa's incredible designer wardrobe for the trip - which has featured countless Melissa Odabash bikinis, Kate Spade dresses and Persol sunglasses - and you can see how the Mail has reached their figure.
