News about the Royal family has not been without its drama in recent years. And last year, in the aftermath of Megxit, the Queen's grandson Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn Phillips announced their separation after 12 years of marriage. The couple released a statement, explaining that divorce was 'the best course of action for their two children and on-going friendship'. The statement added that the split was ‘although sad, an amicable one’. Now, they have worked out the conditions.

'Mr Peter Phillips and Mrs Autumn Phillips are pleased to be able to report that the financial aspects of their divorce have been resolved through agreement, the terms of which have been approved and ordered by the High Court today', an official statement read.

'Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost. Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions. Peter and Autumn have requested privacy and consideration for their children as the family adapts to a new chapter in their lives.

The couple, who share custody of their two children Savannah, 10, and Isla, 8, allegedly told the Queen the news in 2019. Peter is the monarch's eldest grandchild and son to Princess Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips. He walked between William, Duke of Cambridge and Harry, Duke of Sussex, at their grandfather's funeral earlier this year.

Peter and Autumn, who have brought their children up in Gloucestershire, married in 2008 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The couple requested ‘privacy and compassion for their children while the family continues to adapt to these changes’.

Although 16th in line to the throne, Peter is not a working member of the Royal family. He does not posses a royal title and also refused an earldom when he married Autumn. His children do not have titles either.

Last year Peter caused quite the confusion when he starred in a bizarre advert - which saw him endorse milk from Jersey cows - on Chinese television. In the advert, he appears against a backdrop of a stately home, and is even described as ‘British royal family member, Peter Phillips’. He also accepts a glass of milk from a butler on a tray.

The company behind the drinks, Guangming Food Group, shared a behind-the-scenes video from the adverts, where he describes how he used to spend ‘a lot of time down at the dairy’ as a child. He added that it is a ‘privilege’ to be part of the project of ‘bringing Jersey milk to China’.

Technically, he's not the only one in the family to have commercial links with big brands. His sister, Zara, is an ambassador for Land Rover.

Of course, now that Harry and Meghan have stepped down from senior duties, they could technically make money from advertisements if they wanted to. Let's face it, with their Netflix deal, book release and their 2020 JP Morgan dinner with J-Lo and A-Rod, it’s looking very likely.
